On 5 July 2024, the Workshop on Interdisciplinary Legal Studies will be held in Hong Kong, China. We hereby invite academics from around the world to participate in the Workshop at the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law.
2024年7月5日，我们计划在美丽的东方之珠——中国香港——举办“得”字期“琢磨 ”：法与交叉学科青年工作坊，诚邀海内外的青年学者莅临香港大学法律学院，参会研讨。
Interdisciplinary research between law and other disciplines is gaining traction. The convenors of the Workshop come from different disciplines such as law, political science, and sociology, and have diverse academic backgrounds. We hope to take this opportunity to work with young talents, jointly promote the progress of law and interdisciplinary research, and provide a platform for young researchers to conduct open and in-depth academic dialogues.
法学与其他学科的交叉研究正在蓬勃发展。此次工作坊的发起者，来源于法学、政治学、社会学等不同学科，具有多元的学术背景。我们希望能够以此为契机，与各位青年才俊们会猎于讲台、交锋于笔尖，共同推动法与交叉学科研究的进展，为青年研究者提供平台，开展坦诚而严肃的学术对话。
We sincerely invite doctoral candidates at home and abroad and young scholars who have not yet obtained permanent teaching positions to propose academic papers (unpublished) in Chinese or English, on any topic related to law and interdisciplinary subjects.
我们诚挚且热烈地向海内外的博士研究生和尚未获得长聘教职的青年学者发出邀请，征集围绕法与交叉学科相关议题的中、英文学术论文（未发表）。议题开放。
We will finalize the list and invite well-known scholars in related fields at home and abroad to participate in the discussions and share their experiences on law and interdisciplinary theories and methods, academic writing and publication, etc. We look forward to an open and in-depth discussion on academic research.
我们将集体讨论公布最终入选名单，同时邀请海内外相关领域的知名学者进行与谈，并分享关于法与交叉学科的理论与方法、论文写作与发表等问题的心得体会。期待大家围绕学术研究的坦诚而严肃的交锋，让我们在对论文的反复琢磨中携手成长。
This conference is organized by the Centre for Comparative and Public Law of the Faculty of Law at the University of Hong Kong, and is specifically hosted by the Legal and Political Empirical Research Conference Group. The conference affairs team will organize anonymous review by experts and determine the list of participating papers based on the review results. Outstanding unpublished papers will be recommended for publication in Chinese and English journals such as the China Law and Society Review and Journal of Shandong University (Philosophy and Social Sciences Edition).
本次会议由香港大学法律学院比较法与公法研究中心举办，法政实证研究会议组具体承办。会务组将组织专家匿名评审，并依据评审结果确定参会论文名单。对于特别优秀的未发表成果推荐在China Law and Society Review、山东大学学报(哲学社会科学版)等中英文期刊发表。
The working languages of this conference are Chinese and English. We aim to include both domestic and foreign professionals with academic backgrounds and broader disciplinary perspectives to join us, and we look forward to the contributions from young scholars.

Submission steps and conference instructions 投稿步骤与会务说明
1. Participants must first send the abstract of the paper (no more than 400 words in Chinese; no more than 200 words in English) to the conference submission system. The deadline is 8 April 2024 , so that the conference agenda can be arranged;
与会人需先行将论文摘要（中文400字以上；英文200字以上）发送至会务投稿系统，截止时间为2024年4月8日，以便安排会议议程；
2. The full text of the paper must be sent to the submission system by 1 June 2024 . The paper must be unpublished in Chinese or English. In principle, the word count should be no less than 10,000 words in Chinese or no less than 7,000 words in English, in Word format. We will organize relevant experts to conduct anonymous reviews in a timely manner, and will inform the selected participants and announce the meeting agenda in mid to late June 2024 .
论文全文须在2024年6月1日前发送至投稿系统。论文须是未发表的中英文论文，字数原则上中文不低于1万字，英文不低于7000字，采用word格式。我们将及时组织有关专家进行匿名评审，并将于2024年6月中下旬告知入选参会者，公布会议议程。
3. There is no conference fee for the conference, and guests will be responsible for their own transportation, food and accommodation expenses.
会议不收取会务费，嘉宾交通和食宿费自理。
